Anti-doping Education Programmes

Students who are volunteering or coaching in sport have the opportunity to undertake Anti-doping Education online courses. Courses are provided by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) who are responsible for anti-doping in the UK. These courses are useful development opportunities for students who have roles in sport at the University or elsewhere. There are two courses available;

UKAD Accredited Advisor - This course, is a step-by-step learning module which explains the role of the Advisor, the principles of clean sport and all the essential anti-doping information Advisors need for the role. The course should take you approximately one and a half hours and concludes with a series of short assessments to test your knowledge on the key areas of anti-doping. Once you have started the course you are able to log out, save your progress and continue at another time. On successful completion, a certificate is issued to confirm your status as an Accredited UKAD Advisor. The course is valid for 2 years. To access the course, click here

UKAD Coach Clean - The Coach Clean course is more specifically aimed at coaches and their role in supporting anti-doping and clean sport. This course is also valid for 2 years but there is a small charge of £18.  The course takes around 2 hours and once you have started the course you are able to log out, save your progress and continue at another time.  On successful completion, a certificate is issued to confirm your status as a UKAD Coach Clean Coach.
