The International Student Association
The International Student Association (ISA) is a group created to support and represent the views of International Students. If you are coming to Bath from the EU or overseas, you will automatically become a member of the ISA. International Students make up 25% of the student population at the University of Bath, and as such it is extremely important that you have a clear channel for making your voices heard. In this way, the Student Union will be able to respond to your individual and collective needs. This may even lead to representing YOUR views to the university.
Your Exec committee, which is comprised of members with several distinct roles, are elected each year and are responsible for representing your views and raising the profile of international students. All international students are able to run for any position during the election period which will normally take place in April. The ISA aims not only to promote cultural awareness, but also to create an association where all international students can network and share ideas.
Becoming a member of the ISA will mean you will have the opportunity to create and become involved in several awareness campaigns that will raise the overall profile for international students. The 'Events Officer' within the ISA Exec will also take a lead on organising the event "Festival On The Hill" which enables students from many different backgrounds to come together and perform, to celebrate different cultures and to encourage integration on campus.
