What do we do?
Wednesday Roll-Up
A weekly Wednesday roll-up is held at Bath Golf Club. Tee times typically start from 1:30 pm. To keep things interesting the format varies from week to week. Signs up are posted on our Instagram uobathgolf each week.
Christmas Jumper Texas Scramble
We're hosting a 9-hole Christmas Jumper Texas Scramble on the 3rd of December 2023. Teams will be drawn and of mixed abilities. There will be prizes for the winning team, nearest the pin on the 3rd and to the ugliest Christmas jumper. The competition will conclude with drinks in the clubhouse and a mini-presentation.
Refreshers 4BBB
To welcome you all back after exam season, we've got an 18-hole four-ball-better-ball competition on the 12th of February 2023. There will of course be prizes for the winning team and the nearest pin on the 14th. As always we'll have some drinks in the clubhouse after!
Beesting Championship
The Beesting Championship is an annual handicap matchplay knockout event for everyone in the society to take part in.
Entry for the competition will be £2 - with prizes to be won!
Order of Merit
For golfers who prefer stroke play to match play we run stablefords throughout the year on Wednesdays and weekends.
Your best stableford scores will be enterered into an order of merit. The best aggregate stableford scores will win prizes!
Away days
In March 2023, we headed to Cumberwell Park Golf Club, where we played the 9-hole par 3 and the 18-hole golf course. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner too- all for the price of £25 (originally £65).
Down the Plug Hole
The "Down the Plug Hole" cup is a mixed university day hosted at Bath Golf Club. It was first held on the 19th April 2023. There were 78 players from 8 different universities: Bangor, Bristol, UWE, LSE, KCL, Sheffield, and Sheffield Hallam. The day consisted of an 18-hole Texas scramble, followed by a buffet and DJ in the clubhouse. It's an event not to be missed!
