Okay so, BathTime is an INSTITUTION here in Bath - they are a simply amazing bunch who bring us all the coolest takes I could ask for, and keep me forever in the loop with what is going on on campus. With that in mind, here is my scrapped together Canva creation - The Education Review.

ARTICLE ONE - HOT OFF THE PRESS - BATH AUDITIONING FOR UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE
You heard it here first (and second, and probably third - I’ve been talking about it a lot) folks ! Our lovely University Challenge team has made it to the auditions in London.
Headed by captain Matt, the team is set to be in London in the wee hours to audition for ITV, and we couldn’t be prouder ! They have already made it through two rounds of horrific questions (reader, I got no more than 8 in the first round), and so we know they have proved their mettle.
ARTICLE TWO - VC BREAKFASTS UNDERWAY
Congratulations to the members of the Postgraduate community who have been chosen to have breakfast with the VC at the end of this month ! I look forward to reporting more on this later.
ARTICLE THREE - POLDEN COMMONS NOW OPEN AS STUDY SPACE
Polden Learning Commons (colloquially known as the Cafe) is now reopened to students as study space.
Simply scan your card between 8am-7pm weekdays to get in !
The commons was previously a staff only space, but is now available for everyone. It is an amazing spot for informal studying, and has plenty of booths and tables for group work. There are 140 seats - making it even bigger than the 6WS Learning Commons !
As well as this, there is a microwave and a hot water boiler to ensure that you can keep warm, fed, and in a good flow of tea and coffee throughout your study session, as well as a sink so you don’t have to worry about the remnants of lunch seeping out into your backpack (been there).
ARTICLE FOUR - YOU GET AN AWARD, AND YOU GET AN AWARD !
Okay okay, so the award ceremony isn’t until April, but dear reader, we have been planning for months already, and I have been bursting to tell you about it !
The Education Awards recognises all the work you have done across academic representation, projects, peer support and learning, and you can nominate your peers so soon !
Watch this space for the form link, and make sure to give a shout-out to those who have made a difference to you this year - we want to make sure they are recognized, and can’t wait to see you there !
ARTICLE FIVE - OFFICER ELECTIONS NOW OPEN!
Dear reader, while looking for a photo of me at last year’s Education Awards, I instead found this - an outake from my pictures for last years elections. I hope you enjoy it.
On a a more serious note, ask me about my job ! Officers are elected, and the week you run is (admittedly stressful when you have just lost all your dissertation data) but also amazingly fun - I made so many friends, had a great time, and it really gave me that push of confidence to power through final year.

ARTICLE SIX - WINTER GRADUATIONS SET TO BE AT THE ABBEY IN UNVIERSITY FIRST!
In a first for the University, Winter Graduations will now be taking place in the glorious Bath Abbey during January, rather than the former location of the Assembly Rooms during December.
Both the Education Officer and SU President have been attending meetings to ensure that your Winter Graduations are the best the can be - debating on aspects like cost, location, and even times of ceremonies to ensure you can get glorious glowing pictures during golden hour, instead of in the creeping dark. Don’t you love British weather ?
Graduates are recommended to ensure they know the protocol associated with their ceremony, especially if this is their first time graduating here at Bath.
Guides on this can be found on the University of Bath web pages (including timetables for the day !), and if there is demand, I am happy to do a post explaining the process here on the blogs.
