Refresh Week Recap

Refresh Week Recap

Refresh Week is officially over and Semester 2 is well underway – we hope you are feeling suitably ‘refreshed’ and are enjoying getting back into the swing of things with lectures and life in Bath.

We just wanted to take a quick look back over some of our Refresh Week highlights!

Refresh Week gives us the opportunity to show off our amazing student groups, so we held two days of Groups Fairs, where many different clubs and societies held stalls in the SU. This led to an amazing 250% increase from the previous week in new group memberships – joining a  student group is a great way to meet new people or try a new hobby and can really shape your University experience! Don’t forget that you can join at any time during the year – check out our full list of groups on our website.

As well as holding stalls numerous groups held Give it a Go sessions throughout the week where they invited non-members to pop along to try out a session. It was great to see such an array of opportunities from outdoor football through to jazz taster sessions. This was an amazing success and led to a huge influx in new members.

Take a Break Wednesday returned with a very popular pottery painting session over at The Edge, the Street Food Market was back with a huge variety of different foods to try, and we held a huge Vintage Fair downstairs in the SU. We also hosted various undergrad and postgraduate mixers across the week, which are always a great way to meet new people.

On Friday, we held our Refresh Fair where we were joined by Dominos, a vintage clothing company, a vegan charity stall and lots more! It was great to see so many of you come down and browse the Fair and walk away with numerous freebies and new contacts!

The Plug reintroduced the daily events including the Plug Quiz, Mixology and everyone’s end of week favourite, the Weekend Warm Up. We finished out the week with a major throwback as we were joined at The Tub by Dick and Dom! You guys partied the night away to the dulcet sound of ‘BOGIES’ – make sure you keep an eye on the Whats On page for more bespoke ‘The Tub Presents…’ events throughout the year. The next one for your calendar is on Saturday 2 March, where were bringing the Wolf of Wall Street to The Tub with our next Exchange night, tickets are on sale now.

But remember – it doesn’t stop there! We regularly hold a wide variety of different events, so make sure you are always checking the What’s On Page and following us on socials, where you can also watch our Refresh Week recap!

Hope you have the best Semester 2!
