Halal Products provided at Students' Union Outlets

You don't have to go far to meet your dietary requirements. The Students' Union strives to provide good value specialist food for our students. Halal meat is available for purchase from the following Students’ Union outlets.

Students' Union Shop

The Union Shop offers Halal fresh meat to order.  To order fresh lamb or chicken, print out and complete this Halal Meat Order Form and hand it into the Union Shop each week by Thursday at 2pm to pre-order and pre-pay.  You will be given a receipt and can collect the Halal meat from Friday after 2pm. 

At present the range the butcher can offer is limited to the selection shown on the order form but with the aim to also supply Halal beef in the future.  Please note the Students’ Union shop only operates this as a pre-ordered scheme.

The Union Shop is open Monday - Friday 8:30am - 6:30pm and Saturdays from 10am - 5pm.

Sandwiches

The Thyme range of chicken sandwiches stocked in both the Students’ Union Shop and the Fresh Grocery Store are Halal certified.

The Students’ Union hopes to extend the provision of Halal meat and this will be reviewed in light of demand.
