Here to support you as you settle into student life at Bath, our Captains in green are here for you throughout Freshers’ Week.

Fresher's Week Captains

FW captains are a group of student volunteers that are here to ensure you have the best Freshers’ possible. You’ll see them around campus wearing green t-shirts.

They'll be there to look out for you during the daytime and evening events, from helping you move in to scoping out the best spots on campus to grab a bite to eat. They’ll be there to support you and show what the SU and the university has to offer!

Look out for posts on socials as they will have the best tips on how to make the most out of Freshers’ week.

Here are some bios for some of our captains!

Hi there! My name is Ed, Edmund, take your pick. In Fresher's week I'll be going into my 5th Year of Chemistry, wowie, but I've loved every day of my time here at Bath. I'd like to think of myself as quite the expert on the University and City itself by now.

So, if you ever have any questions ranging from settling in, societies, or even simply where to go on nice walks feel free to drop me a line!

Hey everyone, my name is Ella, and I am one of your freshers’ captains! I’m going into my second year, studying Sport Management and Coaching. I like to spend my free time either Dancing with the Dance society or in the gym and if I’m not doing either of those I am usually napping. During my first year I lived in the John Wood building in the city so for any of you planning on staying in the city, all I can say is DO IT! It's amazing fun! It's crazy to think that just a year ago I was in your exact position, full of questions that I didn’t have answers to. So, if you want to know more about university life, living in the city, joining a society/sports team, or just about my course I’m the girl to come to! I look forward to meeting you all in September :)

Hello, everyone! My name is Khushi Sikand, and I'm excited to be entering my second year as a Management & Marketing student. During my first year, I had the opportunity to live in Quads Damson, a centrally located accommodation with convenient access to a nearby bus stop and café. It truly was the best experience!

Coming from Ludhiana in Punjab, India, I cherish the diverse friendships I've formed with students from various ethnic backgrounds. It has been a wonderful journey of cultural exchange and personal growth.

Looking forward to the second year, I strongly believe in the significance of being an integral part of the university community, which is why I actively participate in various volunteering societies and the marketing society.

If any of you have questions about Fresher's Week or university life in general, don't hesitate to leave a message. I'm eager to meet all the incoming students and share our journey on campus together. See you all soon!

Hello! I’m Kristy and I’m a Second Year International Development with Economics student from Hong Kong. Staying in a student accommodation in the city throughout my first year was truly an amazing experience and one of the things I have enjoyed most was reading a good book by the riverside during sunset. Freshers' week will be the perfect opportunity for you to meet some new faces and explore the city. You will usually find me with a coffee in hand and I am always down for a good card game:) Oh, and one more thing: stay safe from freshers’ flu (fingers crossed) See you around!
