About my role

BUST Theatre

What We Do

Bath University Student Theatre (or BUST, as we prefer to be known) is a theatre company run by students at the University of Bath. We aim to perform, produce, direct and promote great theatre from a huge variety of genres - we're a rather diverse bunch! And we never sleep. Ever.

Since the society was founded back in 1969, we have put on a vast array of theatre productions at venues in and around Bath. Currently, in addition to our regular October, December, March and April plays, we also take part in the annual Bath Fringe Festival as well as holding weekly workshops.

After the success of last year's newcomers' production, Black Comedy, we are again putting on a 'Freshers' Show', so all the more reason to get involved! Any more information please contact one of committee or find us on facebook

Reasons to Join Us

BUST boasts a vast array of talent (and a sickening degree of modesty), with members from a variety of countries studying a huge range of subjects, but all sharing a love of theatre. Of course, this doesn't mean that the 'BUST experience' is limited to acting alone - there are loads of other opportunities to get involved, whether that be through writing, directing or producing a play, checking out our socials or just coming to our weekly workshops!

Come & Meet Us

We welcome all new members at any time throughout the year, and no acting, writing, producing or directing experience is required!

Workshops are held every Wednesday from 7-9pm, usually in the Weston Studio, or 3WN3.7 if not (it will be confirmed in the weekly email and on Facebook!), and vary from professional-led Shakespeare to improvisation. Please come along to our first workshop back, which was will be after inter-semester break in February! If you haven't ventured into BUST before, this is your perfect opportunity.

If you do have any questions at all, or you want to get involved with running a workshop, please get in touch with committee by email, the facebook page, or carrier pigeon, and we'll be more than happy to help!
