Discover: Oxford – Saturday 11 March 2017

This trip sold out last semester so we’re giving you another opportunity to visit Oxford

Spend a day exploring the famous ‘City of Dreaming Spires’. Oxford is known worldwide as home to one of the oldest universities in the world, the University of Oxford, and offers beautiful historical architecture as well as a variety of places to shop and dine.

In the morning you will be taken on a private guided tour around the city, which will show you all of Oxford’s highlights, including:

  • The most famous Colleges
  • Places where Harry Potter was filmed
  • Entry into the Bodleian Library, one of the oldest libraries in Europe
  • Entry into one of the Colleges

In the afternoon you will be able to then continue to explore the city at your own leisure, whether that’s by continuing to visit more of the famous landmarks or making the most of Oxford’s shops and restaurants.

Discover: Cardiff – Saturday 18 March 2017

Cardiff is the capital city of Wales. It is well known for entertainment and sport and offers a large range of attractions including historic buildings, shopping areas and Europe’s largest waterfront development: Cardiff Bay. On this trip you will have group visit into Cardiff Castle as well as free time to explore the city at your own leisure.

Cardiff Castle has a history of over 2,000 years. The 11th century medieval castle and Victorian Gothic revival mansion is based right in the city centre and is one of Wales’ leading heritage attractions, having been the site for popular TV shows including Sherlock and Doctor Who. Your group visit will give you access to the:

Discover: Stonehenge and Salisbury – Saturday 1 April 2017

This trip sold out last semester so we’re giving you another opportunity to go on a day trip to see the famous Stonehenge and then spend the afternoon in the beautiful Wiltshire city Salisbury.

First stop is the mysterious Stonehenge, with its recognisable rocks strangely arranged in a circle, making it one of the most famous sights in the world. Come and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site that has fascinated archaeologists, astronomers, historians and the general public for many years.

After a tour of the sight, we will continue our journey to go to Salisbury, a beautiful city known for its cathedral, which is the tallest in Britain. Did you know that inside Salisbury Cathedral is the oldest working clock of the country, which dates back to 1386? You will have the afternoon to explore the city at your own leisure.
