Helen Sawyer
Who am I?
I’m Helen and I’ve just graduated from a Psychology degree. I’ve been involved in a number of areas of the Students’ Union, including chairing a sports club, being an academic rep, representing students on Union Council and the Sports Exec, helping out with Freshers’ Week and organising the SnowBall. In my spare time I enjoy dancing and shopping and can usually be found having a cup of tea and a biscuit! What do I do?
I’m here to promote student welfare, making sure nothing gets in the way of you having a safe and happy time here at Bath and getting the most out of the student experience. I’ll also work closely with the VP Education to make sure you are represented, both individually and collectively, as well as running campaigns that are relevant to you.
My main objectives for the year
- Launch various ethical and environmental initiatives
- Improve the process of finding accommodation after the first year
- Run a number of fun and informative campaigns
- Improve the provision of safe late-night travel
- Work with the other Sabbs in representing you and campaigning for change
