What do I do?
My role encompasses Societies, Arts and the Volunteering groups as well as SORTED Training Courses, Joblink and The Bath Award! I oversee the running of each of these areas and address any problems that students or members of staff have. I also input my own ideas into projects, groups and events as well as engaging with and representing students in the Activities Area!
My main objectives for the year
This year I am aiming to increase the direction of each area Executive Committee, in particular Volunteering, as well as increase International Student and Postgraduate Student participation. I will also be helping making this year’s Activities Awards, Volunteering Celebrations, Student Employer of the Year and Bath Award Ceremonies the best yet!
I will also be making the bathstudent societies and volunteering pages more up to date and easier to find information. More “excitingly” I am forging links with Kaposvar in Hungary to provide international opportunities for members of societies to go abroad and have a fantastic experience!
How I got Here
Originally applying to Bath to do Maths I was excited to get involved with many of the various Arts Groups such as BUSMS (Musical Theatre), Chaos playing the Flute and the Double Bass (Orchestra and Concertband) as well as take up some new sports such as Sailing and Skiing! Having now graduated in Physics and having loved my roles as Orchestra Manager in my second year and Arts Officer in my final year I wanted to continue implementing my ideas and overseeing the running of the various societies but for all activity groups!
Truth or Trick
