Who am I?
Hi, I’m Alex. I was a Social Sciences student for three years and although I actually quite enjoyed my degree, what I loved most was my involvement in the SU. I spent a lot of time volunteering, I got particularly involved with SCA, Rag, SIFE and BANTER, but I also had a great time trying out the activities that societies and sports clubs had to offer. Aside from that, I love travelling, nights out, movies and just hanging out with friends. I also have a major obsession with green tea and you’ll normally find me with a cup in my hand.

What do I do?
My role is to ensure that your views are represented; in what we do as a union, to the university and also on a local and national level. I oversee the union’s overall strategic planning for the years ahead, co-ordinate your team of sabbatical officers and work to develop your Students’ Union to ensure that you have the best possible student experience here at Bath.

My main objectives for the year

• To ensure that the lack of social space on campus is addressed and that University building plans reflect awareness of this issue
• To work towards a bus service that meets your needs for September 2009
• To increase the number of students involved in union decision making
• To improve the variety of entertainment offered by the Students’ Union
• To improve our ethical and environmental practices and policies
