* Emergency rations – to be suitable for night in the hills.

- Keep this to a minimum, e.g. by sharing toothpaste within group
* Survival bag – One each (they are not expensive)
* Toilet paper (and possibly a trowel)
* Spare carrier bags
* Insect repellent. You will need these.

* Copy of route cards
* Items for recording purpose (notepad and pen)
* Sun hat
* Sealable bags, such as sandwich bags, in order to pack items individually
