Nominations for the Off Campus Prize and Eric Snook Community Prize will be open in the spring term.

The Off Campus Prize

Kindly sponsored by First Buses and the University of Bath Alumni Office, the Off Campus Prize is awarded to a University of Bath student who has shown both determination and commitment to improving the lives of others through their volunteering activities. The prize rewards the student who has continued to maintain a high level of involvement throughout the academic year.

So if you know someone who has taken part in an immense amount of voluntary work this academic year why not nominate them?

The nominee could have volunteered on one project for the whole year, or undertaken many other projects and either seen them through to completion or simply assisted in their development. The possibilities are vast.

The winner of the Off Campus Prize will be decided by representatives from the Students’ Union and the Development and Alumni Relations Office.

The Eric Snook Community Prize

Do you know someone who has volunteered within the local community over this academic year? Have they helped to improve ‘town and gown’ relations? If so, why not nominate them for the Eric Snook Community Prize.

The Eric Snook Community Prize is awarded to a University of Bath student who has made a valuable contribution to improving links between the University and the City by undertaking voluntary community service within the City of Bath.

The recipient of the prize will be selected through a nomination process managed by the Students’ Union. Nominations will be reviewed by a representative of the Students Union and a representative from the Development and Alumni Relations Office. The final decision will be made by Mr Eric Snook or a member of his family.

Mr Eric Snook sponsored the prize in 2007, 2008, and 2009 and has kindly agreed to sponsor the award further this year. The prize is to be £250 consisting of a cheque for £200 and a book or books valued up to £50.
