The SMALL PRINT...

a) We have two 9-seaters (Mercedes Vitos) and one 8-seater (also a Mercedes Vito, but don't ask...). Additionally, the Vitos have boot space, but "7-seater" almost always means "5 seater with 2 extra seats in the boot," so this has implications if you want to carry any kit or luggage. It is basically impossible to get hold of hired-in 9-seaters, so BOOK EARLY!

b) All bookings are made on a 24 hour basis. Therefore, for example, 16.00 on 3rd to 17.00 on 4th is 2 days and will be charged as such.

c) Bookings should be made by 13:00 Friday, using the transport booking system, for the subsequent weekend, i.e. all bookings should be made at least one week in advance.

d) The Transport Office will always do its best to accommodate your vehicle requests, but if you submit a late booking you have to accept that you might not be able to get the kind of vehicle you want. This especially applies to towing vehicles and 8/9 seaters, which are allocated strictly "first come, first served."

e) Drivers are recognised by the Students' Union as volunteers. You therefore have certain rights and responsibilities as a volunteer. To find out more, go to the Volunteer Policies & Documents page of the Volunteering Centre Website.

f) The Transport Office is generally open from 09.00 to 17.00, Mondays to Fridays, including during University Vacation periods. The Office is located in Students' Union Reception, Norwood House.
