FRESHERS -  THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO TRY SOMETHING NEW! THE MAJORITY OF OUR CLUB COMPRISES OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU, WANTING TO TRY SOMETHING THEY'VE NEVER DONE BEFORE.

  IF YOU CAN ALREADY RIDE, THEN JOIN UP. WE PROVIDE REGULAR TRIPS AT APPROX AN EIGHTH OF THE USUAL PRICE!!!

The Wakeboard club is a diverse group, catering for beginners through to seasoned pros for all the different and most recent styles of riding: wake skate, cable and boat.
Running regular weekend trips to JB Waterski at Thorpe Park and making use of the great rates they offer, the Wakeboard club usually tops the day off with a warm down at the pub! Due to the range of people, social events are key to the success of the club such as the very popular Christmas meal before the SnowBall.

Prices: If you're interested in just trying something new at University then why not give wakeboarding a shot. You'll never be able to ride as cheap as this again. £6 entitles us to ride all day on the Cable at JB Waterski (usual prices are of the order of £23 for 2 hours!!!)

Equipment: We've built up a large inventory over the years to cater for all our activities so you won't have to pay to rent anything. The equipment is kept up to date so you won't find yourself riding some wonder board from the 80s! All you need is a wetsuit (and you can get that free using your SA membership!).

      

Socials: are important! We run regular socials each term to keep everyone in contact with their friends in the club. We've also got strong links with the other board riding clubs; so from time to time join forces for a giant social. You'll find the socials come highly recommended by all!
