Hope everyone's had a great time at whatever they were doing this summer...

FRESHERS!!!

A very warm welcome from the squash club committee. Well I know its a time of total mayhem where everyone has tons of ideas what are they going to do in there first year in uni. Welll have a pause and think about your choices when it comes to joining any sports CLUB...

Here's a little bit of information to give you an insight into what the squash club is all about, and what benefits you get from joining up! Welcome back old members (it is going to be MUCH much better than last year (like reallly better not empty words like last year hahh)....awesome socials and welcome freshers....ur 15 wil not be wasted i ll make sure to that!!!!

So.....if your intersted in playing in the teams, we currently have 2 men's and 2 ladies teams in the BUSA league, and 2 men's and a ladies team in the local Avon and district league. BUSA matches are played on Wednesdays (exept the ladies 1sts who are in the premier division (woop woop!) and play 2 weekends in the year) and Avon matches are played on Wednesday evenings for the guys and Thursday evenings for the Ladies.

Then the first thing to do is to join the club and then keep checking this site for the exact date of trails... i ll also spread the word out through an email to only MEMBERS i am afraid....

Welll its not just about the teams really we welcome players of all standards or even anyone who hasn't played in their lives COME ON!! join in and who knows you might be in the team next year U NEVER KNOW!! for tht we run the club nights every thursday evening from 5.30pm to 10pm and you can just turn up and play. All standards are welcome and with 4 courts, you'll soon meet new players that are of a similar standard that will give you a good run around! Internal, non-BUSA player leagues will be also be set up for you to meet new players and competitors, as well as various tournaments (with prizes) throughout the year! Squash is a really fun, social club, so when you've met some great mates, a wack on the court is a good way to releive the stresses of Uni life :-s !!!!!

LOLz i forgot to introduce u to the squash committe of the year: KIRSTY MCGUFF is gonna be the BIG Boss this year, AMY LAKE is going to hold all your money and last but not the least MUHAMMAD SALMAN MOTA AKA SAM(thats meeee!!!) well i ll be doing a bit of this and a bit of that..

But how can i forget.....Socials!!!! Stephen is our man this year and he is busy sorting an uber awesome 1st social of the year! It'll be on keep checking this site for more info!!!!

NEW to Squash: Dunnu which racket to buy?? where to get it cheap?? etc etc... WE are here to answer all ur queriesss.. Dont BE SHY :-).. sOON i will be uploading reviews of rackets, places to buy them, videos of squash legends and much much more in the MEMBERS AREA!!

Alrite so the Trails are Done (thank God) and now its time for the first social of the year!!! whihc is going to be on this Fridayy!

So we basically will have a 9-HOLE PUB GOLF WITH TWIST starting at 7pm at the HUNSTMEN and ending up in FLIRT (hopefully if u can make it)... Golf clothing is mandatory if u dont wanna get punished...

Soo peeps can u plzz give a quick email who is gonna be attending so tht we can have some idea...
