Bath Uni Kite and Windsurf club is one of the fastest growing and most popular new clubs at the University, shortlisted for club of the year in May 2007. The club caters for all abilities in both kitesurfing and windsurfing, whether you're completely new to the sport, or already at competition level. We have enough kitesurf and windsurf kit to cover most conditions, which your membership entitles you to use on our regular trips to the coast.

KITESURFING
Instructors within the club make learning fun, but also achievable on a (very tight) student budget. Our array of land kites / boards means kite training can be done at the university saving you time and money. The club run regular trips to the coast for all levels, land boarding in Bath, attends Student Kitesurfing Association (SKA) events, two trips abroad to somewhere warmer and much more.
WINDSURFING
Trips to local spots with tuition from other fully qualified Bath students provide an ideal learning opportunity, as well as an excuse to get out on our kit! The club attends Student Windsurfing Association (SWA) organized events where students from around the country get together to windsurf and party. The annual SWA nationals provide a chance for you to represent your university and gain some all important BUSA points.
BEGINNER
Weekend kitesurf courses for around £100 – Run by the best kitesurf schools in the country with the most experienced instructors. Run in Poole harbour, one of the best teaching locations in the UK, you’ll be up and riding in no time. (Normal price for the course is £200 made cheap by the club’s qualified instructors).
EVENTS / TRIPS
Aussie Kiss 7 (17th - 19th October 2008)
Probably our biggest student event of the year, with all levels of teaching, lots of lash and way too much fancy dress. Open to all windsurfers and kitesurfers or anyone looking to have a go or just hang out on a beach in Cornwall. The club normally runs 2 trips abroad to somewhere warm and windy. The main trip will be over the Easter vacation with previous destinations such as Tarifa (Spain) and Hurghada (Egypt). A summer trip is run for those who are super keen with the club just returning from Tenerife (Canary Islands) and experiencing more Tarifa magic the year before.
