University of Bath Hockey Club
The Hockey club is the biggest BUSA club at the University running 5 men’s and 5 women’s teams all of which compete every Wednesday. The club has a top class coaching team headed by South African international Jody Paul who is also centrally contracted by England Hockey. Every team has its own dedicated coach and trains on either a Monday evening or Sunday afternoon with other optional training sessions run throughout the week. The teams play on a brand new sand-dressed pitch and a sand based pitch (to be replaced with a water-based pitch for the next season) both situated on campus.
The Univeristy has successfully merged with Bath Buccaneers and is now in its third year as Team Bath Buccaneers - the largest and most successful hockey club in the West of England and one of the largest in the UK. We have ten Men's teams including a National League side and six Women's teams so there is plenty of room for people of all levels to play at the weekend too.
The Hockey club prides itself on being the biggest social club at the university with an even 50:50 mix between men and women it is a great chance to meet new people. We run an awesome tour every year which in recent years has been to Barcalona, Dublin and Amsterdam.
2007/08 Success
Ladies 1s Won the BUSA Southern Premier League and then went on to the Semi-finals only to lose narrowly by a golden goal.
Mens 1s were 2nd in BUSA Southern Premier League then went all the way to the final but lost to old rivals Loughborough.

| Whether you want to play at the highest level in the 1st teams or simply play for fun or socially Team Bath Buccaneers has a team for you. Traning is over a range of days and times and costs are reduced to suit the student budget. |
