Here at Bath we are lucky enough to have some of the finest coaches anywhere in the country. They have coached people to so many outstanding performances that it would be impossible to list them all, but below is a little about them.
Our head coach for the last 3 years, Colin is one of the country's top hurdles coaches and an excellent strength and conditioning coach.
Dave is the backbone of distance running in Bath. He coaches all standards of runner, from enthusiastic beginners to sub 4-minute milers.
Our menacing Canadian sprints coach, Rob will coach anyone who supplies him with Cream Eggs or Pea Cakes. A member of the GB Paralympic coaching staff, Rob is just back from Beijing and keen to start handing out abs sessions to anyone who wants to run fast.
Ken is a former commonwealth javelin thrower who now is coach to some of the strongest people in the South-West. If you are one of those unfortunate people with a fear of heavy implements and want to send them as far away from you as possible, then Ken is the man to get them further away from you than you thought possible.
Having retired from competing numerous times, Paul is still training and coaching triple and long jump here in Bath. Expect to see Paul towering above almost everyone at the track, but whatever your standard he is sure to have you bounding further than you ever have before.
Christian has been a stalwart of our team for years now, but don’t let his age fool you; he assures us he is still a student. Christian is a superb technical coach to a squad that just keeps improving.
Legendary Sprint Coach Malcolm Arnold
Malcolm is one of the best coaches the country has ever had. Amongst others, he has been head coach of Wales, Britain and Uganda, albeit not at the same time. He has coached athletes to multiple world records and Olympic gold medals, including John Akii-Bua, Colin Jackson and Jason Gardener. Contact Malcolm if you wish to join his group.
