WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF BATH TENNIS CLUB
The tennis club gives members the opportunity to train and further their interest in the sport. The club welcomes players of all abilities and encourages them to meet other tennis players of a similar standard through the provision of court time, the organisation of internal leagues, social nights and so on. The club has two men’s and two ladies’ teams, who compete in BUCS leagues every Wednesday with the 1st teams consistently challenging for the top honours in university tennis.
To sign up to the club, please login at the top of the screen and then click the join button at the bottom of this page. Remember, you must have your Sports Association Membership before joining.
Matches are played every Wednesday on the indoor courts and there will be a social every Wednesday to either celebrate or consolidate!! So come and cheer on our teams at home matches! There is always a chance whether you're an active member or not to join in, both on the court and off it!
NEW THIS YEAR!! TOUCH TENNIS!!
Inspired by Tennis, Touch Tennis follows the same basic rules but on a smaller court, with a smaller racket and a sponge ball. The games' addictiveness comes mainly from the way it "levels the field" amongst different players and sexes. Which means irrespective of your ability you can play touch tennis!
Touch Tennis will be on a friday night 8-9pm and then off to have a few drinks at The Tub, Parade or a full on night out!
Take a look at the video below of 2 top 10 Touch Tennis players in the world!!
One of our ladies 1st team players and the club Treasurer, Stephanise Cornish is 5th in the Ladies' World rankings!!
