Judo
The Judo club is one of the most pioneering and inclusive clubs on campus. There are three full time coaches to work with all levels of player. A number of BUCS champions are in the squad, which dominated 2007’s championships, taking both the Men’s and Women’s overall titles. This extends all the way through the levels to include around 60 novices. The club’s proud tradition is to turn complete novices into black belts during their time as undergraduates. There is a full schedule of club visits and social events, with two club nights per week and regular visits to Cardiff and High Wycombe. For those with some experience there is the opportunity to train alongside the group of full-time international players. Facilities include a unique folding mat system providing a safe environment for members to practice their skills and excellent relations are held with local clubs many of whom visit us weekly.
