BUCS outdoor team

Welcome to the University of Bath Athletics Club website! 

During Sports Day (the Wednesday of Freshers Week) we will have a stand on Parade and we will also be running taster sessions / test events for all disciplines at the athletics track (at the back of the STV). Come and see us on Parade to get more info, or get down to the track to show us what you've got! (Open to all abilities).

We are a friendly and varied club which has enjoyed great success over the years. 
The past few seasons have seen some fantastic results for the club. We have won numerous medals in a wide range of disciplines at the BUCS Outdoor championships over the last few years, and have even had club members representing Great Britain in recent international events. In 2008, for the first time, we took both men’s and women’s titles at the BUCS Indoor Championships, and we have placed either 2nd or 3rd in the last 3 years at the BUCS champs. These achievements are largely down to our excellent coaching team, dedicated to ensuring athlete development at all levels, and across the whole spectrum of track and field events. Training takes place in the superb STV facility, where groups catering for keen students through to GB internationals, make use of the outdoor track, indoor sprint straight, throws and jumps hall and gym. Previous students who have gone on to become Olympians/Paralympians include Craig Pickering, Ben Rushgrove, Marilyn Okoro and Dale Garland! Whether you are a junior international aspiring to follow in their footsteps, or a newcomer, you will be most welcome at the track!  So, if you want to be a part of our continued success, and strive to fulfil your potential – come and join us!
