Q: I want to take part in a SORTED training session. What do I need to do?
A: To take part in one of our training sessions you will have to purchase a SORTED passport (have link here). Then you need to go on ‘Book courses’ (link) to select and book the training sessions you want to attend.
Q: Can I go to any SORTED events without having to pay the £10 deposit for the SORTED passport?.
A:Yes we have got 3 free Taster sessions at the beginning of the term. You can attend those without paying your £10 deposit. In addition to those sessions you won't need to pay a deposit for Volunteer and Club and Societies Training. To be able to attend all other sessions we offer you will have to pay the £10 refundable deposit
Q: I have problems purchasing the SORTED passport. What should I do?
A: If you have any problems purchasing your SORTED passport online
Q: How do I book on a SORTED training session?
A: To book a SORTED training session simply click on ‘Book your course’ in the left hand menu and follow the instructions.
Q: I have a SORTED passport and have tried to book a SORTED Training course online but it doesn’t work.
A: If you have any problems booking a SORTED course online please send an email to SORTED@bath.ac.uk or come to our office in Norwood House (level4) and we will try to help you.
Q: What if I book on a course but cannot make it?
A: If you book on a course but cannot make it you should let us know at least two days in advance. None of the SORTED trainers are paid to do the sessions, so please respect the fact that they are volunteering their services for your benefit.
Q: What if I need to cancel my session less than two days before the session takes place?
A: You will still need to let us know that you won’t be able to take part in the session. In general short notice will entail losing your deposit and you will be asked to pay another £10 to secure further bookings.
Q: When will I get my deposit back?
A: You will be able to collect your deposit from the Students’ Union Finance office in May 2008 after the SORTED awards ceremony has taken place if you attend all the sessions you sign up to or give at least two days notice if you cannot attend.
Q: What if I pay my deposit but don't go to any of your sessions?
A: You will still be able to claim your deposit back from the Students’ Union Finance office after the SORTED awards ceremony in May 2008.
Q: How will these courses help my course work/degree
A: A large majority of our courses focus on skills necessary
Q: How will this enhance my CV/kick start my career
A: Graduate employers nowadays often comment on the lack of transferable skills of students. Our sessions will help you to develop and improve those skills.
Q: I've got some ideas on starting up a business - do you have any courses that will help me?

Q: How can I make sure that I get on the course I want?
A: the only way to make sure to get on the courses that you want is to book early!
Q: Will I get a certificate for attending SORTED training courses?
A: Yes. At the end of the second semester at the SORTED Awards ceremony each student who has attended SORTED training will get a certificate listing all the courses
