Welcome to Team Bluff - the home of poker at the University of Bath.

FREE-TO-ENTER POKER TOURNAMENTS EVERY MONDAY NIGHT IN ELEMENTS or 4E

 NEXT TOURNAMENT:

MONDAY 22nd MARCH, 2010

4E3.44 @ 7.30PM

The aim of our society is to provide a safe, friendly and non-pressured environment for members of all backgrounds of poker to play, learn and enjoy the game.

Throughout the year we will be running weekly free-to-enter no limit Texas hold ’em tournaments. The top 9 in each tournament will receive points towards the Team Bluff League Table. The top 9 in the league at the end of the year will each get a seat at the Team Bluff Final Table – the society’s showpiece year finale. The size of each player’s starting chip stack being determined by their position in the league (i.e. 1st place in the league starts with the biggest chip stack, 9th place starts as the short-stack). The winner will receive the coveted title of ‘Team Bluff Champion 09/10’.

We look forward to seeing you at the tables…

Owen, Stu, Andy, Josh and Tim

Money will NOT be involved during any of the weekly events. Members who play in the organised tournaments will receive points based on their finishing positions. These points will make up a league table to be run throughout the course of the year. Through membership fees and union funding, various prizes of significant value will be awarded throughout the course of the league. Tournaments will be part of a society competition focusing on the skill of playing poker.

Ourselves as part of the SU do not encourage gambling and do not want potentially large amounts of money to change hands during endorsed events. Team Bluff is an equal opportunities society, making it unfair to have money involved at the detriment of less skilled players. Members who play in any of the tournaments MUST understand this. Any members found to be playing for money will receive severe sanctions.

We wish to emphasise that the society is about the game of poker, playing the game, learning a new skill, improving this skill, meeting new people with a common interest and having fun with other students sharing the same attitude, and not risking money and excessive gambling.

Shuffle up and deal…
