This society is for anyone who wants to get involved in university, local or national events related to ethics or the environment.
We provide a focal point to meet students with similar ideas and find out what things you can be part of. You might like the practical, hands-on approach; helping out with local growing projects. Or maybe you're a passionate activist; looking to protest against the problems of the world. Either way or somewhere in between, this society is definitely worth a look.
Our society is part of a national organisation made up of students across the UK and we are regularly invited to support their campaigns within our own university and city. Current projects for the organisation can be found here. If you would like to know more about the organisation, simply go to their website (http://www.peopleandplanet.org/). Please do not hesitate to let us know if you are interested in any of the projects or activities which have not been listed on our P&P page.
Meetings occur once or twice a fortnight at which we discuss events and organisation of said events. It isn't necessary to attend all meetings as you'll be kept up-to-date with regular emails. There are also plenty of socials and educational workshops mixed in between.

Last year we introduced the fantastic Veg Box scheme. This looks to provide a green, convenient and cheap alternative to buying vegetables from the supermarket. Boxes contain local organic veg starting from £6.50 and are collected on campus. For more information please click here
