Semester 1 Success

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the chess club this semester and helped us to obtain a 100% winning record. Fantastic!

We may be needing help during re-fresher's week (early February) with the giant chess board/ setting up a stall/ giving out leaflets etc. - if you would like to help then let one of the committee know.

Merry Christmas, happy new year and good luck with the exams!

Update 14/10/09

Bath Uni wins first match of the season

A convincing win for Bath was a great way to start the new season in the Bristol and District Chess League. Wins for Chris Dorrington, James Jackson and Paul Dennis secured the win, with a default point for Bath on board 6. Andy Bate and Xiu-Huan Yap both held on to draw on boards 4 and 3 respectively with Xiu-Huan causing some controversial debate as to the FIDE drawing rules over a three fold repetition. Well done all! Bath Uni 5 - Cabot 1.
