Chamber Choir
How to Join Us
The chamber choir is a small choir of around 30 voices, and sightreading ability is required. We usually only audition once a year, at the start of semester one, so don't miss your chance this year!
To find out more before the auditions, why not drop into our open rehearsal (3rd October 2009) as part of the Arts Afternoon, or see our stand at the Societies' Fair on Monday 5th October 2008. Details about these events can be found in your Freshers' pack.
Arts Taster Session: 3rd October 2009
Auditions: 19:30 - Thursday 8th October 2009 - 5 West 2.3
If you are interested, you can just turn up to the auditions to find out more about us (with no obligation!).
From 7.30pm you will be able to rehearse with the existing choir members and the other students who are auditioning. After this short rehearsal you will be asked to sing in small groups. You don't need to prepare anything, or provide any music.
The auditions are led by our conductor, and the auditioning "panel" is made up of the committee, who are all current student members of the choir who have been through the auditions themselves in the past.
