Q. Do I get a Societies membership card?
A. No, but some individual Societies give out their own membership cards, for example Music Soc and ChinaRen.
Q. What is the COST CENTRE on finance forms?
A. C&S (stands for Clubs and Societies).
Q. What is the DEPARTMENT on finance forms?
A. Your individual Society's three letter code (list available here).
Q. What is the EXPENSE TYPE on finance forms?
A. The five digit code refering to what you have spent money on (list available here).
Q. Do I need to fill out a Risk Assessment for a social?
A. Unless it is already in your generic Risk Assessment then yes! For events and trips off campus we will also require a trip list form (download blank forms here).
Q. How do I join a Society if I do not have a Credit / Debit card?
A. You pay in cash at the Student Union Finance Office which is located in the Norwood Offices just off the Plug Bar.
