UK Grad is a national programme designed to ensure the successful transition from doctoral study to a career. It runs courses on transferable skills, and offers advice to postgraduates on managing research, planning a career and personal and professional development. Vitae

Vitae is a new organisation (developed from UK Grad and UK Herd) to promote the professional development of researchers and researcher careers. There is more information at www.vitae.ac.uk, including guidance and resources tailored for postgraduate researchers.

The first Vitae Researcher Development Conference will focus on a new era of professional and development support for researchers in the UK. The conference will take place on 8-9 September 2008 at the Novotel London West Hotel. Download the Conference brochure.
