PG Skills Training Coordinator

Dr Tracey Stead, the University Postgraduate Skills Training Coordinator, works with faculties, schools and departments to help them embed skills development into research degree programmes. As well as delivering training herself, she sources experts and training providers from both inside and outside the University, seeking to ensure that training opportunities across departments meet the recommendations of the Roberts Agenda.

If you are a research postgraduate and want generic skills training in an area not covered by the various providers, you can contact Dr Stead to discuss how it can be met through existing delivery as well as the scope for the extension of the University's training provision in that area.

Dr Stead says “I am very pleased to be working with and supporting the University of Bath’s Faculties, Schools and Departments in the provision of skills training for research postgraduates. As a PhD myself, I have benefited greatly from skills training which I have used to become a more effective researcher and to plan, manage and further my career. I am very much looking forward to helping other researchers to do the same.”

Dr Stead is based in the Careers Advisory Service in WH 5.27 and can be contacted at T.Stead@bath.ac.uk.
