Students' Union Council

The SU Council is the highest level decision-making body in the Students’ Union, determining the Students’ Union direction (by deciding policy) and approving the aims of the Students’ Union Executive (by approving strategy). It is attended by the PGA's SU Council Representative.

Students' Union Academic Executive
 

The Academic Executive includes Academic Representatives from each faculty to discuss issues around how courses are developed and run. It is attended by the PGA's Academic Representative.

 

University Senate

The Senate regulates and directs academic work in the University. It is attended by the Chair of the PGA.

University Research Students Committee

The URSC oversees the University's research study provision (including recruitment, admissions, supervision, support, skills development, final exams and liaison with Research Councils). The PGA's Chair and Academic Representative attend the Committee.

Finance & Commercial Services Committee

The Finance Committee is responsible to University Council for the finances of the University, including financial strategy, budget setting, annual accounts, monitoring of investment activity and consideration of capital expenditure.

Learning & Teaching Committee

The Learning & Teaching Committee is responsible to Senate for the University's Learning & Teaching Strategy, for promoting innovation in learning, teaching and assessment and for co-ordinating staff development to enable this. It is attended by the PGA's Academic Representative.

ISUF (Information Services User Forum)

The ISUF discusses and makes recommendations on the workings of library, computing and other information services. The PGA appoints a representative to attend, currently the PGA Administrator.
