WHAT IS SIFE?

SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) is all about creating economic opportunities for others. Over 1000 teams of students all over the world set up projects that focus on teaching others the following principles:

* Market Economics

* Entrepreneurship

* Personal Success Skills

* Financial Literacy

*Environmental Sustainability

* Business Ethics

The teams are supported by business advisors and university staff. Each year the teams present their projects at competitions which are held in every SIFE county; the winners go on to the global competition: the SIFE World Cup.

 

Who are SIFE Bath?

 

SIFE Bath was established in October 2006, and in the 2007 National Competition went on to win “Rookie Champions” and “Spirit of Enterprise”.

Since then we have made it to the 2008 and 2009 Finals- placing Bath in the top 4 out of over 30 other UK University teams!

We have run a variety of projects, which you can read about on our various projects pages.

 

SIFE Bath is looking for members who want to make a difference.

You may want to join an existing project.

You may want to start your own.

Or you might want to come along to a meeting and see where you can fit in.

We also need members to fill general roles- from recruitment to marketing.

SIFE Bath Graduate Success Stories

 

* In 2008 one of our project leaders was given a graduate job by Deloitte, who had sponsored part of her project.

 

* In 2008 another project leader, studying Maths, managed to get an unconditional offer for a place on a Masters in Business course in Grenolble, because of the work she had done through SIFE.

 

* Following the 2009 National Competition, one of our presenting team impressed the judges so much she was offered an internship at AIG immediately- without even an interview!
