Thanks to the fantastic support from the Alumni Fund, t BUBC has been able to successfully complete and also kick start projects that will help the long term development of the club.
We put in a successful bid to fund a new coaching launch for the club. This supersedes the club’s old red plastic launch which was in need of replacement. The new launch has been bought with a refurbished engine. In a way to honour the coaching success at BUBC we were delighted to name the new launch after Paul Stannard. Paul was the GB Start coach at Bath until 2010. He paved the way for several of BUBC’s successful rowers and produced the likes of Helen Glover and Heather Stanning. Paul now coaches the GB Senior quad that has had fantastic results in the previous two years.
We applied for a received a grant for a Watt Bike and fans for the rowing machines in the gym to keep the rowers cool, especially during the summer months.
Last May we also received a grant to buy a new boat for the coming season. keep checking our social media for more details of this exciting upcoming purchase.
