BUBC saw a record WeHoRR finish as well as a strong performance for the men at HoRR (but unofficial due to cancellation of the event).

Amazing erg scores were achieved by Start athletes Frazier Christie and Samantha Courty. Frazier pulled a staggering 9k in a 30 minute piece and sub 6 for his 2k.

Sam placed first securing Gold in BUCS Indoors with a time of 6:52, Frazier achieved a Bronze with a time of 6:04.

Prior to BUCS, the BUBC senior squad made a trip out to Banyoles for a training camp over the Easter holiday.

Sam got Silver at Small Boats Head which set up her year’s racing, taking her to Portugal for the GB Rowing Team’s camp, which she’ll be racing in the summer. Sam was paired with Georgia Francis from Imperial to form a pair for Easter Trials. Making it to the A Final, Sam and Georgia were the only U23 pair to make it to the A Final. Following this performance Sam was invited to race in the Senior GB W8+ at Washington, USA in the Windermere Cup gaining her first senior cap.

Finally BUCS Regatta saw BUBC success from the M4+ & M2- both securing Bronze medals. Sara Parfett also came 4th in the Championship A Final.

Sara Parfett continued her impressive sculling at Henley Women’s regatta in the Tees RC/BUBC 4x and went on to win the Senior 4x event - her first Henley Medal.
