Website advertising and mail-outs
BathStudent.com provides a media through which the marketing department can help you advertise to the thousands of students who visit the site on a daily basis.
Any club or society wanting to get event details listed on their own relevant homepage should contact the Societies or Sports Administrators.
If you have an event in Elements booked, we may be able to add this to the ‘Events’ list on the website’s homepage depending on what space we have. Any student wishing to have their event added to this list should email Helen at supromotions@bath.ac.uk, providing details of their event (time, place, ticket prices etc.), a short paragraph describing what the event is and also any relevant artwork that they wish to be posted up.
We may also be able to display a banner advert on the website for you. Due to limited space, banner adverts are offered on a first come-first served basis. Adverts must have a web page to link to (for example a charity homepage or your own event page as detailed above) and should be advertising something specific (i.e. an event or competition) rather than just being a general promotion for a club or society.
Artwork for banner adverts should be provided to the marketing department for posting up and should be 140 x 280 pixels in size in GIF format.
Through BathStudent.com, we are also able to do mail-outs to students. Whilst we cannot simply blanket email everyone in the university, we have several mailing databases stored which students have opted in to. These cover a wide range of topics (and include things such as charity work and events on campus) and we are therefore happy to send out information to these lists providing that it relates to one of the categories. For any enquiries about these mailing lists and about how they may be relevant to your cause, please email suadvertising@bath.ac.uk.
If you have any further queries on web advertising or mail-outs, look over the FAQs and ‘Dos and Don’ts’ sections of the website and if you are still unsure on anything, ask the marketing department.
