If you are looking for a part time job, here are the 7 best tips for finding one fast!

  • Go to the JobLink web-site at www.bathstudent.com/joblink.
  • Each advert contains details of how to apply.
  • Go to your local Job Centre. Alternatively go to their web-site at www.jobcentreplus.co.uk then click on ‘Looking for a job?’ and then ‘Search for a job’. Here you can search by your own postcode for jobs that are near you.
  • Get the Bath Chronicle on a Thursday as this has a range of jobs in and around Bath.
  • Sign up with some local recruitment agencies. Go to www.jobseekers-uk.com and click on ‘Find a consultancy’. Choose a category and then put the first 3 letters/numbers of your postcode in the postcode box. Alternatively look in the Yellow Pages or www.yell.com.
  • Hit your local high street or shopping centre. Many jobs are advertised just by a poster or card in the window. Drop a copy of your CV into all the shops you would like to work in, even if they are not advertising vacancies in the window.
  • Pick up any free local newspapers/magazines that might have vacancy adverts in them. Also check for job adverts in local papers which are delivered to your house. Check notice boards in newsagent’s windows.
