Welcome to Discover Bristol, the Better Bus to clubbing and going out in Bristol.

 

We take you right to the city centre where there are so many great places to go that we even give you a map!

Once you’ve been to Bristol you’ll want to go every week!

 

Please read through the following steps and instructions to fully understand what is on offer and how you can make the most of it.

 

Step 1. Why go to Bristol?

 

Bristol offers the best nightlife in the South West of England. With loads of restaurants, bars and clubs, quite simply if you want a great night out you can’t go wrong.

 

Step 2. What are we offering?

 

We are providing coach services to Bristol city centre, 5-10 minutes walk from over 20 clubs and many more bars. When you arrive at the coach we will give you a pocket sized map with a little “this is where you are!” as well as loads of great venues and other places highlighted on it.

 

The coaches usually leave Bath University Campus (East Car Park) at 9pm, will then make a brief stop in town 15 minutes later. We will then speed our way to the Bristol city centre.

 

At the end of the night we’ll take you home, we leave Bristol (it’s the same place we dropped you off) at 3am.

 

The times quoted here are the departure times, we can’t wait for you, so please be there early.

 

Step 3. What’s the alternative?

 

Put simply there isn’t one. For many years students from Bath have travelled to Bristol and the options aren’t great. Most people get the train or X39 bus. These both go from Bath town to Bristol Temple Meads station (a 30 minute walk to the city centre), cost around £6 and stop working before midnight.

 

So how did everyone get home? Well there are two options, wait at the train station till 5:30am or get a taxi for £30-£50.

 

The Better Bus offers the most convenient and cheap travel to Bristol nightlife, why it had never been done before is beyond me.

 

Email us for a quote if you want to book entire coaches, we book so many that we get a discount we can pass on to you, it’s cheaper to go through us than to go direct to the coach company!

 

Step 4. How do I buy a ticket?

 

Tickets cost £8 (£10 on Fridays and Saturdays) and include the return travel.

If the date you want to travel on is not currently listed on the website, email us at contact@betterbus.co.uk and we can add it for you. We also do good discounts on the advertised prices if you’re a large group.

 

Step 5. Anything else I should know?

 

Basically you won’t find a cheaper or more convenient way of getting to and from Bristol, whether you are booking a large group for a sports club social or just going with mates. Plus the deals at the clubs are just outstanding.
