What is the leadership Academy?

The Leadership Academy is a joint undertaking by the University of Bath's Student Union and Future Foundations. The visions, aims and objectives of the Leadership Academy are as follows:

To help to create and nurture the leaders of tomorrow and in so doing, to raise the profile and reputation of the University of Bath as a centre of excellence for student development opportunities.

To enable students to develop the skills to become more effective leaders and enhance their employment potential

  • To develop students’ understanding of leadership skills and enable them to and use and describe appropriate strategies;
  • To create a sustainable peer support network of members;
  • To ensure the Academy advances leadership practices and models which promote a sense of responsibility;
  • To provide measurable personal development through reflection and feedback;
  • To enable students to use this feedback to articulate learning appropriately;
  • To provide recognition of the students’ achievements through external accreditation.

In addition, this Monthly meeting timetable gives details of the Leadership Academy meetings coming up over the next 5 months.
