BANTER - Student Entrepreneur Club

Acquire some entrepreneurial flair and become more enterprising, with free training this Semester!

BANTER, Bath Entrepreneurs, is a student-led group with over 190 members. It is completely free to join and membership gives you access to free weekly training sessions provided by experts and inspirational speakers. The group have their own ‘common room’ in the form of the Enterprise Resource Centre on Level 4 of Norwood House – with loads of space and networked computers with printing facilities – all for free!!

 

Our Aims

• Increase awareness of entrepreneurship within the University
• Support those with existing businesses and help foster new ones
• Provide training and skills for entrepreneurs at the University
• Facilitate the flow of information between entrepreneurs at social events

Training for Young Entrepreneurs

The club runs regular SORTED workshops on various aspects of business including many special guests from the local and national business world. Numerous other events take place across the year including socials and other events designed to support and encourage entrepreneurship within the society. Members also organize the annual Student Enterprise conference each November during Global Entrepreneurship week. This has taken different forms over the years from being attended by 100's of people from across the country to being hosted in Koln, Germany. This year the Student Enterprise 09 was hosted in Bath.

This Semester, the focus of the training sessions is to enable members to generate and develop successful and imaginative business ideas. You will also be given the chance to acquire the skills required to launch the business and become the next young entrepreneur!

Sessions are held on campus and are informal and interactive. Places are limited and booking for the sessions takes place in exactly the same way as booking for a SORTED session – visit www.bathstudent.com/sorted where you will need to first deposit a single amount of £10 online for a passport confirming your attendance.
