
Bath and North East Somerset's new sexual health branding was launched on 20th April 2009. SAFE is designed to make a young persons access to sexual health information, support and advice as easy as possible. All SAFE venues are:
- Accessible,
- Provide up to date information and resources on a range of sexual health and relationship issues for all young people,
- Confidential, and
- Friendly
AWARE has signed up to this quality criteria and launched itself as a SAFE venue on 23rd April 2009. This will also tie in with the new and improved sexual health services that AWARE provides including:
- Easier access to condoms and sexual health products still at the same cost prices,
- Continuing to provide free pregnancy tests to students,
- Providing free Chlamydia screening kits to students,
- Selling a wider range of condoms and sexual health products including non-latex condoms, dams and lubricant,
- Selling 'condom packs of the month' each month we will have a different variety mix for you to try something new, and
- Free condoms for those students with a C Card - C Cards are available from a new of venues including the University Medical Centre (you will be required to make an appointment to talk through contraceptive options with a practice nurse before the C Card is issued). * This service will be launched fully in the 09/10 academic year.
