What is Nightline?

Nightline is a confidential listening and support service, run by students for students.  We are here for students to talk to, in total confidence, about anything they want to, from relationship troubles to homesickness, arguments with housemates to course problems.

We won't judge, we won't tell you what to do and we won't tell anyone.

Why do we have Nightline?

Nightline is a way for students to talk about things that they might not want to talk to friends or family about – a way to anonymously get something off your chest. Whether you want to talk about something serious, or just have a coffee and a chat, Nightline is there for you.

Contacting Nightline

If you want someone to talk to, you can telephone or email Nightline or if you would prefer to talk to someone face-to-face, just drop into the AWARE Centre.

To see Nightline's number and email address you need to be logged into Bathstudent, this is simply to ensure that our service is not tied up with external callers.  Once you are logged in the number and email address will appear here.

If you would like to be a Nightline volunteer, please get in touch. We will give you all the training you need.  Go to the Nightline Volunteers page>>>

When is it open?

Nightline operates during term-time from Wednesday to Sunday, 8pm till 8am.

Where is the Nightline office?

The Nightline office is in the 1East level 3 corridor, next to AWARE.

Who are the Nightline volunteers?
