Writing coach for students of science, engineering and design
The university now has a writing coach on site on Mondays and Tuesdays. Trevor Day is a published non-fiction writer with more than 40 books to his credit. In his role as a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund his job is to coach students in sharpening their writing skills. Whether you are tackling an undergraduate dissertation, a laboratory report, a postgraduate thesis, he can help you communicate more powerfully in writing.
Trevor can assist you at almost any stage in your writing, from research and planning to composing and revising. But don’t expect Trevor to proofread or rewrite your work for you. He is there to help you do it for yourself.
Originally a marine biologist, Trevor has written all kinds of publications, from children’s books to academic textbooks, from research council press releases to feature articles for national newspapers. In many years of publishing and teaching Trevor has encountered most of the problems people come across when writing. He can help you find your own solutions to them.
Fancy a 50-minute session with Trevor, please click here. Alternatively you could email writingcoach@bath.ac.uk. The sessions are free on a first come, first served basis. You will need to book at least a week or two ahead. Trevor looks forward to hearing from you.
